Walnut Creek’s 27-hole championship course offers the best balance of challenge and beauty. Three distinct 9-hole layouts change the round of golf every time you play. Players rarely wait for a tee time since this format nearly doubles the number of tee times available from an 18-hole layout.
Players enjoy generous landing areas off the tee and greens with ample slope and speed while the pressure falls on the second shot placement in order to put up a good score. Well-placed bunkers and water hazards add more challenge to the game. Par for each course is 72.
The greens staff prides themselves in keeping the course in immaculate condition. The bent grass and poa annua on our fairways and putting greens are well maintained and the abundant number of trees and floral plantings enhance the course’s beauty.
Walnut Creek is a suitable course for golfers at all levels. You can play from four sets of tees (gold, blue, white and red) on all course rotations.
The North/South rotation plays 6870 yards from the gold tees and 5458 yards from the red tees.
The South/West rotation plays 6831 yards from the gold tees and 5350 yards from the red tees.
The West/North rotation plays 6839 from the gold tees and 5384 yards from the red tees.
The natural grass driving range with 20 hitting bays offers a great place to warm up or to improve your stroke. A practice putting green and chipping green with sand bunker are also available. To help perfect your short game, an additional putting green, target green and a sand chipping green in the short game area is scheduled to open Memorial Day Weekend 2011.
Walnut Creek is fortunate to have PGA and LPGA Golf Professionals on staff as well as two Assistant Golf Professionals. These dedicated professionals are friendly and experienced. Lessons are also available to take your game to the next level.
