The Swimming Pool is one of the favorite gathering places at Walnut Creek Country Club. Two outdoor heated pools meet all swimmer’s needs, whatever their skill level. The Olympic-Sized main pool has a diving board, depths from twelve to four feet, and designated lap lanes. A 25-foot round Kiddie Pool with a rain umbrella is a fun place for small children to splash in the water.
Members and their guests also enjoy:

• Pool bar on weekends.
• Numerous lounge chairs for lying in the sun poolside.
• Shaded awning-area next to the pool for those who want to avoid the sun.
• Lifeguard staff on duty.

Walnut Creek also has a Junior Swim Team called the Whitecaps. The Whitecaps compete in an Inter-Club league during the summer. Swim practices help to improve the swimmer’s abilities while the meets give them the opportunity to show their developing skills. Team spirit is also boosted by dances and parties throughout the season. The Whitecaps team is one of the largest in the state of Michigan. They have been frequent Inter-Club Champions and have won the Tri-County finals many times.
Swimming is also introduced in the Junior Advantage program. Children between the ages of 4 and 9 have the opportunity learn about golf, swimming and tennis in this program that consists of four 3-hour sessions. Junior Advantage is available for all membership classifications.
Walnut Creek is also fortunate to have a seasoned Swim Pro / Pool Manager and a swim staff to run the swim team, ensure the safety of swimmers every day, and to provide swim instruction.
